AWS Wirral Walk - 11 July 2010
On 11th July, a group of AWS members, friends and family met up on the Wirral to take part in a Wirral Walk! We met up in Irby and walked through to Thurstaston before stopping at the Irby Mill pub for a delicious lunch.
It was a fantastic day with gorgeous weather. What a wonderful way to spend a Sunday afternoon!!
AWS Climbing Event – 24 June 2010
On 24th June 2010, the AWS arranged a climbing session at the Awesome Walls Climbing Centre in Liverpool.
AWS members were provided with tuition from the experienced instructors at the converted church. Starting off on the baby walls, we quickly progressed to the highest wall of the centre. Almost everyone had a go at this wall, even if they didn’t all make it to the top!
The evening was a huge success, combining adrenaline with fear and hilarity. These pictures speak for themselves!!

AWS "Bring A Friend" - 20 May 2010.
On 20 May 2010, the AWS held a “Bring a Friend” evening at the Lady of Mann on Dale Street, Liverpool. Attendance was free and members were encouraged to bring as many friends or colleagues as they wanted to enjoy an evening of good conversation, drinks and sandwiches!! It was a great opportunity for the new committee to meet some more members and an even better opportunity for ladies who weren’t familiar with the AWS to learn more about it.
Those who attended also got a quick insight into the action packed schedule of events set for the coming year (see the forthcoming events page for more details)
The night was a huge success, and the AWS would like to thank everybody who attended, as well as the Lady of Mann for their hospitality.
